My research centres on the interplay between global changes (eg: climate, urbanisation, deforestation, and invasive species), parasites/pathogens, their hosts and environments. By looking at the effects of anthropogenic changes on these systems I seek to elucidate a wide range of phenomena including co-extinctions, co-invasions, and zoonotic spillover. This applied work also builds on my more foundational research on parasite systematics, diagnostics, and distribution.
